全国47都道府県のうち、唯一シティリーグが開催されていなかったのが沖縄県。
今までポケモンカードを取り扱う店舗（公式ジムなど）が少なかったこともあり、沖縄県ではなかなか開催されていませんでした。
個人主催の大会やジムバトルの開催はありましたが、県内に住む人がシティリーグに参加するためには飛行機に乗ってわざわざ県外で参加するしか方法がありませんでした。
しかし、昨今のポケモンカードブームに伴い、2022年からポケカ専門店やTSUTAYAがトレカコーナーを設置したりなど、環境が整ってシーズン6でようやくシティリーグが開催されることに…!
2022年5月1日 沖縄県初開催のシティリーグ
初めて沖縄でシティリーグが開催されたのが「TSUTAYA カードスタジアム小禄店」。
今まで個人主催の大会「沖ポケ」の主催者であるキリュウ氏や店舗関係者の奮闘により、開催されたと思われます。
沖縄初のシティリーグついにこの時がきました。

初の優勝者はミュウVMAXのデッキを握った「どせいさん」
タイムゲイザー・スペースジャグラー環境で猛威を奮ったオリジンパルキアを採用するデッキが多い中、ミュウVMAXのデッキで勝ち上がったのが「どせいさん」でした。
